Die hochschwangere Braut wird von Bill mit einem Kopfschuss lebensgefährlich verletzt und liegt vier Jahre auf einer Pflegestation im Koma. Als sie daraus erwacht, flüchtet sie aus dem Krankenhaus, stellt unter der Überschrift „Death List Five“ eine Todesliste (eng.: „kill bill“) auf und arbeitet sie schrittweise ab.".
